I’ve always been a fan of parry mechanic and at some point I thought it was under utilized. But recently, a lot of games have been using it and even outside of the expected action genre. I’m attributing that to Sekiro. I think that game opened the flood gate. We’ve had Clair Obscur, Nine Sols, Resident Evil 4 Remake and even Doom making parry a central mechanic of their gameplay loop. I’m loving it.
But at the same time, I know some people don’t like parry and they are probably fed up of it…
